  1. The most irritating part about it is I was enjoying collecting Cobb. Hey, I’m thrilled he had a great game, I’m a huge Packer fan, but this is a tremendous overreaction. Some of his cards are now as expensive as RODGERS…you know, the Superbowl MVP proven QB, who people are saying is the best in the league?

Yeah, now it’s almost as expensive to buy a rookie WR who made 2 rookie mistakes and got lucky. *sigh*

  2. I knew this would happen as soon as I saw the plays. People are dumb when it comes to collecting. This has happened to so many cards that are worthless now. The 1999 Spx Jermaine Fazande was commanding 30.00 or more at one time because of one game where he had over 100 yards. Remember Mike Anderson cards? He got rookie of the year! But he was very pedestrian after that. I’m a set collector so my tactic is to wait until the player dies down before I get that card. I learned my lesson with too many bad trades and overpriced buys. This was when Auto Rookies were just coming out and people just didnt know what to do with themselves. They should know better by now but they don’t.

  3. It’s really not that shocking. One plays in Cincinnati, one in Atlanta, and one in the Football Mecca of the Universe – on a legit Super Bowl contender as well.

  4. It’s just like the stock market…one tiny good piece of news and it’s the greatest day on earth. The next 2 weeks he doesn’t make a catch, and the card is worth a fourth. This also shows another frustration situation….the guy that bids 50 times in $1 or $2 increments. Good grief. Do you want it or not?!
