1,000 Posts: Proof of My Craziness

This post is SCU’s 1000th post, and to me that is the craziest thing in the world. To tell you the truth, I couldn’t believe it when I saw what was about to happen. Think about it, this blog was started in late March 2008, meaning there have been around 475 days of SCU existence, give or take. That also means there have been about 2.1 posts per day since inception, though the number is possibly deflated because I don’t usually post on the weekends. Either way, that’s a lot of work and time I have spent on this site, and I want to reinforce my appreciation for the opportunity to stick around.

Although the hobby impact of this blog has been largely unseen, I have to hobnobbed with some of the big wigs around the industry, spoken with a few NFL players, talked to a baseball player or two, corresponded with a guitar hero, and made many new friends – all thanks to the blog. Although it has taken thousands of hours to produce, those things definitely make every word I type worthwhile to me.

I’m not sure I expect myself to be around the scene a few years from now, but who knows? I didn’t expect this site to last this long, either. Regardless of my intentions, I would like to thank you, the reader, for sticking with me. Love me or hate me, you make this site possible, and you have my gratitude, even you want to send me needless piles of email about my lack of control at a buffet.

Here’s to another 1000 posts!

A Huge Thank You To Holy Hitter

For those of you who have participated in the SCU Breaks part of this blog, you are very familiar with Holy Hitter as the master of ceremonies. He has done an amazing job, and I am sad to find out that he wont be able to participate now, due to other responsibilities in his life.

Despite his departure, SCU Breaks has become a great way to bust boxes that you normally wouldnt have the chance to, and I am extending a huge thank you to Hitter for helping me out with that part of the site. His quick shipping and organization are nothing short of uncanny, and I could only hope to aspire to his level. Its going to be tough to find someone that will work as hard as he does on these breaks.

Good luck to you in your future endeavors, you are welcome back whenever you want.
