Today on twitter, Topps introduced a part of their upcoming release of 2012 Football that has never been done before this year. Basically, for anyone that opens a box, they will have a chance to find the golden ticket, which equates to being a subject in a 2013 product for the lucky collector that pulls it. This was previously offered in a similar fashion during 2012 Bowman Baseball, and from the way they sold, this contract should be on a similar level.

Personally, Im not sure if I would sell an opportunity like either of these, even if it werent guaranteed that I would win. Its just too unique of a situation to give up for money, especially for someone like me who will never have the shot at being a subject in a card set the normal way.

Since I am a football collector, I might have to find a way to put together the funds to at least take a run at buying it if it ever comes up for auction. Can you imagine what that would be like? I should almost see if I can do a fundraiser on the site to raise a big middle finger to all the haters out there. Im sure they would love it.

Either way, this is a great idea that will provide a chance of a lifetime for the person that does eventually end up with it. I just hope its in the boxes I am going to buy tomorrow, bwahahaha.
